In 2012 I graduated in Fashion Design at the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam. I interned at Viktor & Rolf and Chloé, and then worked several years as a designer for Vlisco and King Louie.
During art school, I was already developing my own repeats and artworks. At King Louie, a lot of my daily activities involved finding repeats in vintage prints, using them to create new designs and developing the colourways for an endless amount of prints. After King Louie I've been focussing on my own illustration work, and started working as a freelance illustrator since july '17. I've done some commission work and I've been developing my own illustrated products as well, such as wrapping paper and art prints.
Sustainability is an important subject to me, so I try to use as little waste as possible, and also printing on sustainable biotop paper.
